PrettyPlease is a small app from FOF Labs LLC. If something is broken, confusing, or just annoying, write in and it'll be read.

Get in touch

Email hi@foflabs.com. Bug reports, feature requests, and "i'm stuck" notes are all welcome. When reporting a bug, mentioning your iPhone model and iOS version speeds things up a lot. For account deletion or account-security requests, write from the email address on your account when possible.

FAQ

Do I need an account?

PrettyPlease now supports accounts for sign-in, profile, and future account-based features. The Screen Time setup still happens through iOS on your device, and your protected app selections, usage stats, unlock history, voice audio, and daily budget are not uploaded to your account in the current version.

How does email sign-in work?

Enter your email address and PrettyPlease sends a short verification code. Use the newest code you requested, and check spam or filtered inboxes if it does not arrive. Login codes expire, so request a new one if the app says the code is no longer valid.

Can I use Sign in with Apple?

If Sign in with Apple is available in your build, use the same Apple ID each time. If you choose Apple's private relay address, account emails from PrettyPlease may go to that relay address.

How do I sign out or delete my account?

Use the account settings screen in the app to sign out. Sign-out removes the saved session from that device but does not delete local Screen Time configuration. To delete your account, use the in-app delete option if available or email hi@foflabs.com.

The voice unlock isn't recognizing me.

PrettyPlease uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Try a quieter room, hold the phone a normal distance from your face, and read the phrase at a steady pace — the karaoke highlighting will track each word as it lands. If recognition keeps failing, check that PrettyPlease has Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security.

Apps I selected aren't actually getting blocked.

Blocking depends on the Screen Time / Family Controls permission granted during onboarding. If that permission was denied or revoked, re-enable it in Settings → Screen Time → Apps & Websites Activity → PrettyPlease. Then reopen the app — your selections will re-apply automatically.

I can't pick the exact app I wanted.

Apple's Family Activity Picker shows what iOS makes available to third-party apps. PrettyPlease doesn't see your full app list — only the opaque tokens you select. If a specific app isn't appearing, try selecting the whole category it belongs to (e.g. "Social"), which covers it.

My daily limit didn't reset overnight.

The limit resets at local midnight on your device. If yours didn't, force-quit and reopen PrettyPlease — it reconciles the day on launch. If it still looks off, email a screenshot and the time on your device.

How do I undo onboarding / start over?

Delete and reinstall PrettyPlease to clear local app data on that device, including selections, unlock history, and the daily reserve. This does not delete your PrettyPlease account. Use the account deletion flow or email support if you also want the account removed.

Does PrettyPlease send any of my data anywhere?

Account data goes to PrettyPlease when you sign in or manage your profile. The current version does not upload your protected app list, Screen Time selections, usage stats, unlock history, daily budget, or voice audio to your account. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown — Terms of Service covers the license and disclaimers.
